To make city water function in a multiple manner by installing a plurality of cartridges changing the quality and components of raw water on its midway to a flow path tying a branch valve incorporated into a hydrant body and the discharge opening of a discharge pipe connected to the hydrant body.

A piping 19 for supply and a piping 20 for return are formed to a hydrant body 3, a first cartridge 5 is mounted, and the two pipings 19, 20 are brought to a communicated state. A piping 23 for supply and a piping 24 for return are set up to the lower section of the hydrant body 3, and a second cartridge 6 is fitted and the pipings 23, 24 are brought to the communicaed state. A branch valve 4 installed to the side face of the hydrant body 3 has built-in fixing-side ceramic plate 8 and movable-side ceramic plate 14, the fixing- side ceramic plate 8 is communicated with four pipings 19, 20, 23, 24 and a water supply path 25, and the ceramic plate 14 communicates two adjacent supply ports in the five water supply ports of the fixing-side ceramic plate. Accordingly, the two cartridges 5, 6 can be selected so that water is passed through a single or a plurality of the cartridges 5, 6, raw water is filtered or components are added, and water is made to function in a multiple manner.
