Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in low-temperature characteristics, workability, etc., comprising an asphalt, noncrystalline propylene- ethylene random copolymer and crystalline propylene-ethylene block copolymer, each having specific physical properties, in specified proportions.
SOLUTION: This waterproof asphalt composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of an asphalt 30-250dmm in penetration at 25°C and 25-65°C in softening point, (B) 5-80 pts.wt. of a noncrystalline propylene-ethylene random copolymer 1,000-20,000 in number-average molecular weight, 2-30wt.% in ethylene content, 120-150°C in softening point, 10-60dmm in penetration at 25°C, and ≤-15°C in glass transition temperature, and (C) 1-12 pts.wt. of a crystalline propylene- ethylene block copolymer 5-25g/10min in melt flow rate at 230°C and 1-15wt.% in ethylene content. It is preferable that this composition is ≤-15°C in low- temperature flexibility and ≤10dmm in high-temperature dent.
