PURPOSE: To obtain a waterproof and water-proof clock without using a battery by molding a body for housing a crystal-oscillating type driver having a rocating weight and a generating and charging mechanism integrally with a rear lid part by highly corrosion-resistant metal and by using inorganic glass with time and date automatic correcting function added while no externally operating member is used.

CONSTITUTION: A case 1 of a portable clock is formed with a body and a rear lid integrally to completely eliminate penetration and leakage. Cover glass 2 is inorganic glass with zero moisture and gas permeability. A glass packing 3 and a winding crown packing 4 are formed by using a sealing member such as 11R, PTFE having small moisture and gas permeability, while a winding crown 5 is permanently fixed to the case 1 by a metal brazing material 7 to secure waterproof property. A rotating weight 8 is made of heavy metal such as W, a driver 9 is of crystal oscillating type with a generating and charging mechanism included, and a capacitor for forming a large capacitance capacitor is constituted instead of a battery. Thus constituted, a highly accurate permanent portable clock which is excellent in waterproof property and water resistance and high in reliability can be obtained.
