Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof structure, suitable especially for an electrical junction box mounted on a vehicle and capable of protecting inner electrical equipment stored inside from infiltration of water, by preventing a reverse flow of rain water and the like.
SOLUTION: A waterproof structure of an electrical junction box has a main box body 11 mounted and fixed on an almost vertical wall face 20 of an apparatus. The main box body 11 includes a bottom plate 12 and four sidewalls 13. In this case, a sidewall 13A can be fixed to the mounting wall face 20 with a drainage space 16, outside the sidewall 13A inbetween. A drain hole 15 passing to the drainage space 16 is drilled at a corner of an boundary part, with a bottom plate 12 slanted downward toward the mounting sidewall 13A. Since the drain hole 15 is jointed indirectly to the outside the apparatus through the drainage space 16, a back current of rain water through the drain hole 15 into the inside of the main box body 11 can be prevented.
