PURPOSE: To assure a wave absorber with excellent weather-resistance and durability without producing warp and distortion, said absorber including an outermost layer, an inner layer, and an innermost layer, by constructing the absorber from rubber or rubber-like matter for the outermost layer, from thermosetting liquid oligomer and carbon black for the inner layer, and from thermosetting resin or a metal plate for the innermost layer.
CONSTITUTION: A wave absorber includes at least three-layer structure: first, an innermost layer 1 as the base; second, an inner layer 2 as the intermediate layer; and third, an outermost layer 3 laminated on the former two layers. The outermost layer 3 comprises rubber or rubber-like matter. The rubber includes for example thermosetting rubber such as chloroprene rubber and silicone rubber. The rubber-like matter includes for example thermoplastic elastomer, such as three-element copolymer of styrine-butadiene-styrene. The inner layer 2 includes one yielded by interspersing carbon black powder in thermosetting liquid oligomer. The innermost layer 1 includes a material selected from a layer formed by impregnating thermosetting resin in carbon fibers or a metal mesh, a metal plate, a thermosetting resin plate containing metal powder, and thermosetting resin yielded by metal spraying thereon.
