Abstract:
To stably detect weft.SOLUTION: A weft detector 100 comprises a first light receiving part 111 and a second light receiving part 112, a difference extraction section 120 for extracting a difference between an output signal of the first light receiving part 111 and an output signal of the second light receiving part 112, and a determination section 130 for detecting weft on the basis of the extracted difference. The first light receiving part 111 detects a first range as well as the second light receiving part 112 detects a second range. At least one of the first range and the second range includes a part of a weft-flying area 13. The first range does not overlap the second range in the weft-flying area 13.
