To provide a weight measuring apparatus for an excavator for not only measuring a pawl tip load but also deciding whether the load is according to one side load or not.

The excavator comprises an arm 3, a bucket 4 rotatably supported to the arm 3 via a first pin 5, a bucket cylinder driven to rotate the bucket 4, and a link for transmitting driving force of the cylinder by supporting one end to an end of the cylinder and supporting the bucket 4 to the other end via a second pin. In this case, strain gages 19 are adhered to both ends of the first pin 5 and the second pin to detect forces operating at both ends of the first pin 5 and the second pin. Pawl tips loads of both the ends of the bucket 4 are calculated by a calculating means and measured based on the detected results. Thus, the pawl tip load can be not only known, but also whether the load is according to one side load or not can be decided.
