PURPOSE: To perform fine pulverization with good efficiency by forming a flow passing through a gap between a rotating disc and the inner wall from the introducing side, a flow reaching the discharging side from an opening of the disc and a flow returning from another opening of the disc to the introducing side to the mixture in a vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of a fluid dispersion of a matter to be pulverized and pulverizing media introduced in a cylindrical vessel 1 from an introducing opening 7 is mixed and stirred by means of a rotating disc 2 to perform size reduction treatment and the dispersion and media after size reduction are separated by means of a screen 8 provided on the discharging side. At least one disc openings of which are worked for forming a flow passing through a gap between the apex part of the disc 2 and the inner wall of the vessel from the introducing side to the discharging side, a flow passing through the opening 3 of the disc from the introducing side to the discharging side and a flow returning through the opening 4 of the disc 2 from the discharging side to the introducing side is provided on a driving shaft 5. As the result, an efficient pulverization can be performed by using a few number of sand mills.
