To improve a catching performance of a coating particle contained in an exhaust flow better as compared with that of the prior arts in a wet scrubber having a venturi type structure part for allowing an exhaust flow to pass therethrough for acceleration, and supplied with water onto an inner wall of the structure part to flow down, and to achieve sufficiently its improvement only by carrying out simple remodeling to the existing wet scrubber, and then to make easy its application to a coating spray booth already brought into use.
A wet scrubber 1 is structured as follows. Preferably sprinkling gutters 10, 10 of which cross sections form V shape (or water guide gutter) are extended to a central area of a channel from an inner wall 8b of the structure part in a venturi throat part 6 or its neighboring part in a venturi type structure part. Then, water in the sprinkling gutters 10 introduced in the central area of the channel from the inner wall 8b, is scattered outside from its side edge, and can be mixed in an exhaust flow f.
