Abstract:
To prevent mud water from entering from a mating surface between a steel portion and a resin portion in a fixing flange of an exterior member included in a wheel bearing device.SOLUTION: A wheel bearing device 10 includes: an inner shaft member 11 to which a wheel 8 is attached; an outer ring 12 fixed to a knuckle 7; and a plurality of balls 13. The outer ring 12 has: a cylindrical body 21 in which outer raceway surfaces 14a, 14b, on which the balls 13 roll, are formed on the inner periphery side; and fixing flanges 22 each of which is provided extending from the body 21 to the radial outer side and fixed to the knuckle 7 by a bolt 9. The fixing flange 22 has: a steel flange part 32 having a through hole 56 into which a part of the bolt 9 is inserted; and a resin flange part 42 which covers the steel flange part 32 and has a bottomed hole 57 communicating with the through hole 56.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
