Abstract:
To provide a wheel bearing device for suppressing the occurrence of allowable tensile stress or greater on the rolling surface of an inner ring to prevent a reduction of a bearing life while preventing creepage.SOLUTION: The wheel bearing device includes an outward member 2, an inward member 1 having a flange part 6, a hub ring 4, and an inner ring 5, and double row rolling elements 8 rollingly stored between both the rolling surfaces of the inward member 1 and the outward member 2 via a cage. On the inner peripheral part located avoiding an inside rolling surface 5a of the inner ring 5, a protruded part 50 in a spline or serration form is provided. The protruded part is used for cutting the outer peripheral face of a small diameter step part 4b of the hub ring 4 so that the inner ring 5 is adhesively fitted to the small diameter step part 4b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
