This wheel speed calculating device for a vehicle determines the wheel speed by average period time averaging rise period time that a prescribed period of a signal of a wheel speed sensor 31 is measured at the time of a rise and fall period time that the prescribed period is measured at the time of a fall and a rotation distance of a wheel rotating within the prescribed period.
