Abstract:
To enhance the design of a wheelchair armrest and to mount functional parts.
The armrest 30 comprises an aluminum frame 32 and a cover member 34 made from a synthetic resin fused to cover both sides of the frame 32, with functional parts such as a locking mechanism 37 provided in a hollow portion inside the cover member 34. The locking mechanism 38 enables the armrest 38 to be easily fixed to and detached from the body 14 of the wheelchair by operating a handle 36 disposed on the cover member 34.
