Abstract:
PURPOSE: Both luminance and chrominance signals are separated into wide-band and narrow-band signals respectively. And wide-band signal is time axially compressed while narrow-band signal is time axially expanded to be transmitted alternately. In this way, highly graded TV signal is turned to narrow-band signal as well as the transmission band can be effectively utilized.
