Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure distance for measuring flow velocity due to ultrasonic waves without expanding a device by providing bent flow passages.
CONSTITUTION: An intermediate plate 2 and a lower plate 3 which are apart across the predetermined space between up and down are provided in a main body 1 mounted on a vehicle. A member 4 which divides wind fed into a space between them to the right and left is provided, and further, bent flow passages 5, 6 in the shape of symmetrical eddy are provided at its tip. An ultrasonic wave transmission element 14 is provided on the intermediate plate 2 via an elastic body 16 in the vicinity of an inlet of each flow passage, and an ultrasonic wave reception element 15 is provided on the intermediate plate 2 via the elastic body 16 at the center of each flow passage in the shape of eddy.
