Abstract:
To achieve a high speed, accurate, and reliable wind state prediction function by a limited data processing resource of a windmill by using a Lidar for the purpose of improving power generation efficiency and reducing fatigue loading of a wind power generator.SOLUTION: A wind power generator having a tower, a nacelle provided to the tower, and a blade connected to the nacelle is equipped with a Doppler Lidar for detecting a wind speed and a control device in the nacelle. The Doppler Lidar has a function to emit laser beams in a plurality of directions, and measure wind speeds of a plurality of measurement distances along each laser beam in a predetermined measurement time. The control device has a wind speed prediction function to input a dataset that selects a part out of wind speed data measured by the Doppler Lidar, and predict a wind speed at a position of the wind power generator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
