In this winding device, a guide roller 19 having a guide piece moving along an endless helical groove 18 is rotatably on a traverse shaft 16 having the endless helical groove 18 for traverse, an auxiliary roller 26 is rotatably disposed on an auxiliary shaft 25, and a hose 13 is inserted between both rollers 19 and 26. When the winding drum 7 is rotated in the arrow A1 direction, the hose 13 moves in the arrow A2 direction, the guide roller 19 and the auxiliary roller 26 are rotated and reciprocated in the axial direction of the traverse shaft 16 by friction with the hose 13, and thus the hose 13 is wound on the winding drum 7 in the aligned state. Thus, a rotating force transmitting mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the winding drum 7 to the traverse shaft 16 is not required.
