PURPOSE: To shape a coil end through a die with a thermal relay being fixed to the upper end of the coil end.

CONSTITUTION: A coil 10 is temporarily shaped through a first die where a recess is made at the upper end of the coil end. A thermal relay 12 is fixed temporarily in the recess and bound integrally by means of a string 11 for binding the coil end. Finally, the coil end is finished with the thermal relay being fixed by means of a first die 24 having the flank part 25 of the thermal relay. Manual binding work of the thermal relay can be eliminated after finish shaping of the coil end resulting in automation.
