PURPOSE: To permit the introduction and cutting of a thin wire material without generating deflection, preventing the terminal of the twisted wire material from being unravelled, by restoring the position of a base frame having an inlet and outlet guide for guiding the wire material by a brake clutch installed onto a wheel transmission mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: When, a wire material 1 is introduced into a cutter 10 through guides 38, 40 the clutch of a brake clutch 46 is opened and the brake is applied in a base frame 20, and when the edge part of the wire material 1 pushes an operating piece 34, a limit switch 36 is closed through a cam 34a, and the operating piece 34 is held outside a wire-material passage by an electromagnetic holding means 50, and a cylinder 32 is driven to raise a movable cutter 24, which holds the wire material 1 and starts cutting. Then, a cutter operation signal is generated, and a brake is released, and the wire matrerial 1 shifts with the base frame 20, and is cut at a prescribed position by the movable cutter 24, and when th movable cutte 24 lowers, a cutting completion signal is generated, and the clutch is operated, and the power supplied from a motor 42 is transmitted to a wheel 18, and the base frame 20 is returned to the original position.
