PURPOSE: To make it possible to serve jointly as a distribution container and a stocker for a warehouse by providing an elevating device on a box type container main body.

CONSTITUTION: A leg 2 which is stretchable by a hydraulic cylinder 3 is provided as an elevating device 20, at four corners of a main body 1 of a box type container. For example, the chassis of a vehicle of which the deck is a chassis only is placed under the container, and the container is lowered by the elevating device 20 and placed on the chassis and fixed by clamps, and thus the container can serve as a deck box of a cargo automobile. For a danger preventive rail 6 which consists of a large number of railing bars 4 in parallel with the side surface, a large number of the railing bars 4 are erected from the floor surface. The upper parts of the railing bars 4 are slidable conforming to the vertical movement of the container, etc., in holes of slide guides 5 which are provided on the side surface of the box type container as a lateral crosspiece and have holes in which the railing bars 4 are insertion-held, and thus a person or animal is prevented from entering under the container by mistake.
