PURPOSE: To correctly position the work holding part of a transfer means on the center axial line of tee work feeding part of the previous stroke, by moving the work support part with its retreat to the work feeding part of a transfer device in the previous stroke, and engaging a positioning hole and positioning pin.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of projected abutments 14a, 14b are abutted on a work support part 40 with the work holding part 10 equipped with the moving member of a transfer means which is controlled with driving at least more than two shafts being moved with its advance to the work support part 40 of the transfer device in the following stroke, and a positioning hole 21 and positioning pin 15 are engaged, by correctly positioning the work holding part 10 on this center axial line, also moving the work support part 40 with its retreat to the work feeding part of the transfer device in the previous stroke. Consequently the work holding part 10 of the transfer means is correctly positioned on the center axial line of the work feeding part of the previous stroke.
