PURPOSE: To furnish a simple and inexpensive work lift device by a method wherein two supporting bars borne in the positions on both outer sides of a measuring frame and being in parallel with a work are provided and a lift arm is provided in suspension from these bars making free horizontal movement.

CONSTITUTION: Two supporting bars 9A and 9B are provided on both sides of a measuring frame and the left end of a work lift 10 is engaged slidably and rotatably with the supporting bar 9B, while the right end thereof being supported by 9A. The journal Wa of a work Wb is borne by a cradle 20. An eccentric cam 23 and a guide ring 24 both fixed to the supporting bar 9A by a screw 22 are provided eccentrically in positions shown by dotted lines, i.e. the positions where the arm 10 is lowered by ΔL. The supporting bar 9A is rotated through the intermediary of a lever and thereby the guide ring 24 is lifted up to the position shown by a solid line. Simultaneously, a V-shaped cradle 20 and the journal Wa are lifted together with the arm 10 up to modified positions shown by desh and dot lines. In this way, a simple and inexpensive work lift device can be obtained.
