PURPOSE: To automatically switch the work positioning reference in a turret broach machine.

CONSTITUTION: A rod 32 is linked to a positioning member 31 abutting on work W, and the positioning member 31 is energized downward with a spring 35 via the rod 32. A pair of abutting members 36 and 37 is provided on the back side of the positioning member. Actuators 43 and 44 are linked to the abutting members 36 and 37. The operation of the actuators 43 and 44 with the rod 32 pushed up with a pusher 47, causes the movement, of the abutting parts 36a and 36b of the abutting member 36 or the abutting parts 37a and 37b of the abutting member 37, to a position opposite to the abutting member 31 corresponding to the telescopic motion of operating rods 45 and 46. Then lowering the rod 32 with the pusher 47 causes the abutting of the positioning member 31 on opposite abutting parts 36a, 36b, 37a, or 37b to set the standard position L of the work W. Here, the standard position L of the work W can be automatically switched by controlling the actuators 43 and 44.
