PURPOSE: To perform electrostatic coating without generating a spark by supplying primary power source from the capacitor of a travel base to a high voltage generator while a work is traveling in a coating zone and applying high voltage from the high voltage generator to the work.
CONSTITUTION: When a conveyer is actuated, carriages T1-Tn mounting a work W travel endlessly to move in sequence from a conveyance start point S through a coating zone to a conveyance end point G. In this process, dielectric electromotive force is generated in a pick-up coil 8 opposite to a dielectric cable 7, and a capacitor 10 is charged by stabilized voltage in a power device 9. When the operation element 16 of a switch box 12 contacts an operation projection 17a to turn on, power is supplied from the capacitor 10 to a high voltage generator 11. Namely, the high voltage, after being supplied to an attachment 15 through a high voltage cable 13, is applied to the work W. Accordingly, an electrostatic field is generated between a coating machine 6 and the work W to perform electrostatic coating.
