To provide a workbench which is easy to fold, and excellent in workability and safety.
The workbench is formed of front and rear legs 1 and 2, a top board 5, top board bearing crosspieces 6, connecting fixtures 7, and a pair of braces 8. The top board 5 can be folded in two like an inverted V letter. The top board bearing crosspieces 6 bear front and rear ends of the top board 5. The connecting fixtures 7 connect upper ends of right and left supports 3 to the front and rear ends of the top board 5, respectively, in a mutually rotatable manner. The braces 8 are obliquely stretched over an interval between a stepping crosspiece 4 of the front leg 1 and the rear top board bearing crosspiece 6, and an interval between the stepping crosspiece 4 of the rear leg 2 and the front top board bearing crosspiece 6, and have their lower ends rotatably supported by the stepping crosspieces 4 and their upper ends by the top board bearing crosspieces 6, respectively. Each brace 8 is formed of a long portion 21 and a short portion 22 which are connected together in a manner being foldable in two like an inverted V letter, and a difference between a distance from an upper rotation center of each brace 8 to a connection center and a distance from a lower rotation center to the connection center is equal to a distance from the upper rotation center of one of the braces 8 to the lower rotation center of the other brace 8. Further, both the long portions 21 of the respective braces are rotatably connected together.
