Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make an operating rod lockable in a brake operating state, by installing an engaging part in the operating rod of a vacuum servo unit, while installing a solenoid plunger, being free of detachment, in this engaging part at the time of brake pedal operation. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a housing 1 is partitioned off into a front chamber F and a rear chamber R, and these chambers F and R are further partitioned off into first and second vacuum chambers A and B and transformer chambers D and C by power pistons 2a, 2b and diaphragms 3a and 3b. both these transformer chambers D and C are interconnected to each other by the passage formed in a core part 5 connecting these power pistons 2a and 2b together as one body, and the atmospheric passage 7 installed in this core part 5 is opened or closed by an operating rod 8. In this case, an engaging part 107 is installed in this rod 8, energizing a solenoid plunger 105 at the time of brake pedal operation, and the plunger 107 is engaged with the engaging part 107 whereby the rod 8 is made so as to be lockable at a brake operating state position.
