PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve grinding efficiency by feeding and discharging a workpiece to and from a workpiece machining position in a single process, and provide a work feed device having a simple structure and a small size, regarding an in-feed type centerless grinder.
SOLUTION: This workpiece feed device has a rotatable carrier disc with a plurality of workpiece holding parts 11 arranged along the periphery at the prescribed pitches for holding workpieces W, and an indexing device 3 for indexing and rotating the carrier disc. The indexing device 3 is formed so that the carrier disc 2 is intermittently indexed and rotated at such indexing pitches as corresponding to the arrangement pitches of the work holding parts 11, and the discharge of machined workpieces W and the feed of workpieces W retained on the succeeding workpiece holding parts 11 are performed in a continuous single process through the indexing operation of the carrier disc 2 at a workpiece machining position P2. Also, the workpiece feed device is formed out of the simply structured carrier disc 2 and indexing device 3. As a result, a device structure becomes simple and small. At the same time, the operation of the device becomes simple, involving only the indexed rotation of the carrier disc 2.
