Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus and a data compression method for efficiently compressing high definition data acquired by a high definition X-ray CT so as to be restorable.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes: an X-ray tube for radiating X-ray; a detector for outputting a plurality of pieces of pre-compression data on the basis of the X-ray; a compression section for grouping the plurality of pieces of pre-compression data to generate grouped data corresponding to the pre-compression data in each group and data for restoration for restoring the pre-compression data; a reconfiguration section for generating an image by selecting either a first reconstitution mode for reconstituting an image on the basis of the plurality of pieces of pre-compression data or a second reconstitution mode for reconstituting an image on the basis of the grouped data; a transmission section for transmitting the grouped data and the data for restoration to the reconstitution section; and a restoration section for restoring the pre-compression data on the basis of the grouped data and the data for restoration when reconstitution is performed in the first reconfiguration mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
