Title:
X-RAY-IMAGE MULTIPLIER TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6089045
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the characteristics Reso and GX of an X-ray-image multiplier tube by using small columnar crystals for the input fluorescent film, making a first photoelectric surface thick, making a first output fluorescent film thin and providing a second output fluorescent film.

CONSTITUTION: The input screen 12 of a vacuum envelope 11 is made by coating a base plate 13 with both an input fluorescent film 14 containing small columner crystals and a thick first photoelectric surface in that order. Next, a first anode 17, a thin first output fluorescent film 18 and a second photoelectric surface 19 are provided on the output side of the envelope 11. After that a second anode 20 and a second output fluorescent film 21 are provided near the output window 11a of the envelope 11, thereby making an X-ray-image multiplier tube. Therefore it is possible to increase the characteristic Reso by making the first photoelectric surface 15 thick and making the first output fluorescent film 18 thin. It is also possible to increase the characteristic GX by providing the second photoelectric surface 19, the second anode 20 and the second output fluorescent film 21. Accordingly it is possible to greatly improve the general characteristic of the multiplier tube.
