PURPOSE: A yellow resin colorant giving a colored resin molded product with low shrinkage anisotropy and excellent dimensional stability, comprising an isoindolinone pigment contg. a lamellar particle having two edges of specified length and in a spcified ratio in length, and a third edge of a spcified length.
CONSTITUTION: A resin colorant contg. 80wt% or more lamellar particle of the formula having two 0.1W0.5μ long edges in a length ratio of 1:1W1:2 and a third edge of a length ≤0.1μ. The size of said particle is pref. 0.05μ or less in view of the effect of moldifying colorability. Said colorant is advantageously used without deterioration in dimensional stability for coloring, in particular, a polyolefin such as polyethylene or polypropylene and a polyolefin resin obtd. by the copolymn. of ethylene or propylene with vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, acylonitrile etc. having shrinkage anisotropy and low dimensional stability.
