Abstract:
To provide a yoke of a universal joint for steering which can sufficiently correspond to use in an electrically-driven power steering device by reinforcing mechanical intensity.
A shaft part 32 is fitted into a fitting hole 33 of a yoke body 31, and a yoke 30 of a universal joint 16 for steering is fixed integrally with the yoke body 31 by welding. In an edge 33a close to an arm part of the fitting hole 33, which is fitted to the shaft part 32, a hardening layer 38 containing a martensite structure is formed by hardening and temper processing.
