Title:
ZINC OXIDE PHOTOSENSITIVE PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5730842
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve a zinc oxide photosensitive paper in preexposure fatigue and image quality in high humidity, by forming an underlayer having a mixing ratio of a water-soluble polymer binder and an emulsion type polymer binder not exceeding a specified value on a conductive substrate.

CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble polymer binder, such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), casein, or water-soluble cellulose, and an emulsion resin, such as vinyl acetate resin, acrylic resin, or styrene-butadiene rubber are mixed in a solid weight ratio of 1:≤1, and 1pt.wt. kaolinite is added to the mixed binder having 1pt.wt. solid and the aqueous dispersion for use in the under layer is coated on one side of paper. A vinyl acetate resin emulsion containing a conductive material, such as a polymer having quaternary ammonium salts is coated on the reverse side of the paper to form a conductive layer. An aqueous dispersion containing photoconductive ZnO, a silicone resin, and a sensitizing agent is coated on the under layer and dried to form a photoconductive layer, thus permitting an excellent image to be obtained in high humidity.
