Abstract:
PURPOSE: To precisely correct out of focus after a zooming action is taken in a manual focus (MF) mode, in an inner focus system zoom type camera.
CONSTITUTION: In the inner focus system zoom type camera, for correcting the out of focus occurring after a zoom lens 1 is moved to take a zooming action in the MF mode, zoom tracking is executed by making reference to a zoom tracking curve housed in a ROM, etc., in a CPU 10. After that, for instance, the prescribed limit of the number of the steps of an AF motor 5 is six, and in this limit, climbing-up automatic focusing (AF) is executed. When the peak point is not found in the prescribed limit, it is returned to the original point.
