Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to feel an expected acceleration.SOLUTION: An information acquirer 22 acquires maneuver information concerning an acceleration of a vehicle and at least one of environmental information on the outside of the vehicle and a kinetic state of the vehicle. An expected acceleration calculator 24 calculates an expected acceleration, which is an acceleration expected by a driver of the vehicle, on the basis of the acquired maneuver information. An optimal acceleration calculator 26 calculates an optimal acceleration, which optimizes a predefined object function, on the basis of at least one of the acquired environmental information and kinetic state. An additional acceleration calculator 28 calculates an additional acceleration, which is added to the driver's head in a fore-and-aft direction, on the basis of the difference between the expected acceleration and optimal acceleration. A controller 30 controls a supporting unit 40, which supports the driver, so that the additional acceleration calculated by the additional acceleration calculator 28 can be added to the driver's head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
