To provide an automatic ash fall meter capable of holding down a manufacturing cost because the number of components is small, reducing labor for maintenance, and accurately measuring an amount of volcanic ash fall.SOLUTION: An automatic ash fall meter 100 comprises an ash fall collection cylinder 10 which can store water, a load measuring device 20 which measures a weight of the ash fall collection cylinder 10, a drainage pipe 40 which drains water 30 stored in the ash fall collection cylinder 10, and a water-supply pipe 50 which supplies water into the ash fall collection cylinder 10. The drainage pipe 40 includes a drainage port 42 opening toward the inside of the ash fall collection cylinder 10. The drainage port 42 is fixed to a predetermined height H inside a side surface of the ash fall collection cylinder 10. When a water level 32 of the water 30 stored in the ash fall collection cylinder 10 falls below the predetermined height H, water can be supplied from the water-supply pipe 50. When the water level 32 exceeds the drainage port 42, drainage is started from the drainage port 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
