Abstract:
To provide a backup power source device which reduces inconvenience during the use of a computer.SOLUTION: A backup power source device 20 mounted in a computer 10 includes: a backup capacitor 21 served as a capacitor of a backup power source of a backup target unit 13 included by the computer 10; a discharge part 23 for making the backup capacitor 21 discharge; and a power-off detection part 24 for, when detecting shut-off of a power source of the computer 10, determining the type of the shut-off, so as to control whether the discharge part 23 is enabled or disabled according to the determined type.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
