Abstract:
To provide a compact and inexpensive ball screw having excellent screw rotating and supporting functions and a small number of components.SOLUTION: A ball screw S includes a ball holder 2 having a cylindrical wall part 21 and a plurality of hole parts 22 arranged in the peripheral direction of an axial center X, a sleeve 3 externally inserted and fixed into the wall part 21 so as to be rotated integrally with the ball holder 2 and opposed to the hole parts 22, a screw 1 having at least one streak of a screw groove 11, a ball B embraced by the hole parts 22 and fitted to the sleeve 3 and the screw groove 11, and an outer race 4 mounted to the sleeve 3 with a bearing part K, the ball B including one or more first-stage ball B1 arranged along the peripheral direction of the axial center X, and one or more second-stage ball B2 arranged at a different position in the direction of the axial center X. A linear groove 31 running along the axial center X is formed at a site opposed to the hole parts 22 out of the sleeve 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
