Abstract:
To provide a camera body that improves operability during use with a lens barrel attached thereto, the lens barrel capable of reducing its lens barrel length for storage.SOLUTION: A camera body 130 can communicate with a lens barrel 101 having a storage state and a photographing state, and comprises: an imaging unit 201; a display unit 202; a communication unit that communicates with the lens barrel 101 and receives information indicating the storage state or the photographing state from the lens barrel 101; and an operation unit S2 that switches between a first state where electric power is supplied and a second state where electric power is not supplied. When the camera body is switched to the first state by the operation unit S2 and receives the information indicating the photographing state from the lens barrel 101, the imaging unit 201 can pick up a subject image, and the display unit 202 can display the subject image. When the camera body is switched to the first state by the operation unit S2 and receives the information indicating the storage state from the lens barrel 101, the imaging unit 201 cannot pick up the subject image, and the display unit 202 performs display indicating the storage state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
