To provide a camera equipped with a display device excellent in visibility from the upper surface and the front of the camera, which is good in handleability.
The projecting part 8a of a block 8 is projected from a camera cover and set as the index of a mode dial 7. A reflection surface 8d is formed at the projecting part 8a. Illuminating light by a lamp 11 is projected to the block 8. The projected illuminating light is emitted to the outside from the projecting part 8a and a side surface 8c. A part of the illuminating light emitted from the projecting part 8a is reflected by the reflection surface 8d and emitted toward the front of the camera. The rest of the illuminating light is transmitted through the reflection surface 8d and emitted toward the upper side of the camera. The projecting part 8a functions as the index of the mode dial 7 and the display device for displaying the state of the camera, projects from the camera cover and is provided with the reflection surface 8d, thereby, its visibility as the display device is improved.
