To provide a camera capable of being made smaller in size and lower in profile by improving the layout method of a guide shaft for guiding the movable lens group of a bending optical system.

The guide shaft 16 of the movable lens group of an image-side optical axis O2 is disposed at the rear of the camera, with respect to a mirror 6 serving as a bending optical part. A cam cylinder 13 that moves in the direction of an object-side optical axis O1 and a rectilinear cylinder 15, and a third group lens L3 and a third lens frame 3 that move in the direction of the image-side optical axis O2 have a first overlapped region 31a that is an overlapped movement area.
