Abstract:
To improve contact between an IC chip and an IC contact.SOLUTION: A card processing apparatus comprises: a conveyance mechanism 4 which conveys a card medium along a conveyance path; a slope loading mechanism 6 which includes a movement portion 19 movable in a conveyance direction and having a pressing portion 22 provided with a contact portion 25 that reads information recorded in an IC chip T2 by contacting with the IC chip T2 and a projection portion 24 that is connected to the pressing portion 22 and projects in a width direction of a housing 2 so as to cross the conveyance path, and a guide portion 21 that guides such that the movement portion 19 approaches the card medium as the movement portion 19 moves to a downstream side of the conveyance direction; and a support portion 8 that is displaced at an opposite side of the conveyance mechanism 4 in the width direction to the projection portion 24 and supports the card medium from an opposite side of the contact portion 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
