Abstract:
To adjust the charging amount and charging time of an inoculant without requiring complicated labor.SOLUTION: A casting apparatus includes: a charging section for charging an inoculant into a pouring flow of molten metal according to one or more inoculum set values including at least one of an inoculant charging amount and a charging time; a setting changing section for changing the set values so as to reduce a deviation between quality of a casting product indicated by a result of a test for evaluating the quality of the produced casting product and a preset reference. When the quality of the casting product does not meet the reference, the casting apparatus performs, one or more times, changing, by the setting changing section, the set values, and charging, by the charging section, the inoculant into the pouring flow according to the changed set values.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
