Abstract:
[Problem] To always preserve at least a constant residual voltage, even if a battery pack is left on a charging station after charging has been ended. [Solution] A battery pack charging method including: a step in which a power-supplying coil (113) for a charging station (110) and a power-receiving coil (1) for a battery pack are electromagnetically coupled and a secondary battery cell (2) is charged using power supplied from the power-supplying coil (113), while the battery pack is mounted on the charging station (110); a step in which, after charging of the secondary battery cell (2) has ended, a recharge permission signal permitting recharging is sent to the charging station (110); and a step in which the recharge permission signal is received and power is again supplied to the battery pack from the charging station (110). The recharge permission signal includes information changing the time intervals that power is again supplied to the battery pack, in accordance with the reason the charging of the secondary battery cell (2) ended.
