Title:
COMPOSITIONS OF PEPTIDE-BASED SYSTEMS FOR CELL SPECIFIC TARGETING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016171801
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions of peptide-based systems for cell specific targeting.SOLUTION: The invention describes a protein nanoparticle system for directing siRNAs or other agents to tumor. The basis of the protein system is an elastin-like peptide that self-assembles once exposed to the nucleic acid of siRNA. By using a standard genetic engineering, specific targeting peptides are fused to the core ELP structure. These targeting peptides confer specific binding of the nanoparticles to the receptors on the tumor cell surface enabling uptake of the nanoparticles into the tumor cells.SELECTED DRAWING: None
