Abstract:
To provide a construction machine that facilitates a maintenance work for an engine placed between an operator's cab of a running vehicle body and a revolving superstructure thereof in the back-and-forth direction of the running vehicle body.SOLUTION: In a construction machine, an engine is placed on a running vehicle body between the operator's cab of the running vehicle body and a revolving superstructure thereof, and the engine is located adjacent to the operator's cab from the rear side of the running vehicle body. An engine cover covers the engine from the vertical upper side, both sides in the widthwise direction of the running vehicle body, and the rear side of the running vehicle body. The operator's cab rear wall of the operator's cab divides a space between the internal space of the operator's cab and the engine. A tabular member is attached to the operator's cab rear wall in a detachable manner, and with the tabular member being detached from the operator's cab rear wall, the internal space of the operator's cab is opened toward the interior of the engine cover.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
