PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and a control method of a hybrid vehicle capable of safely stopping a vehicle by preventing damage on a clutch at the time of emergency stop of a hybrid system while the vehicle is travelling.SOLUTION: When emergency stop of a hybrid system is performed while a vehicle is travelling, switching to a contact state of an engine clutch is performed on and after a rotational speed difference ΔNe of an input/output shaft of the engine clutch comes to be a preset tolerable rotational speed α or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
