Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform transcription in which coordinate axes of a drawing plane are taken into account when three-dimensional data are formed by transcribing contour lines of plane data.SOLUTION: When a drawing document (plane data) prepared by a two-dimensional CAD application is transcribed with respect to a components document (three-dimensional data) prepared by a three-dimensional CAD application, a manipulator for designating coordinate axes of the drawing document is displayed. By operation from a user, an X-axis and a Y-axis indicated by the manipulator are adjusted so as to be coincident with an X-axis and a Y-axis indicated by the components document. Further, when a linear element designated in the drawing document is transcribed, an angle by which the linear element is to be rotated is extracted on the basis of the X-axis and the Y-axis adjusted and the linear element is transcribed to the components document by rotating the linear element in response to the angle at the time of transcription.
