Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling reliable identification of a preceding vehicle as a vehicle-to-be-followed and enabling reduction in the number of vehicles to follow.SOLUTION: A cruise control device 1 includes: a candidate selection part 21a for selecting a candidate of a vehicle-to-be-followed that is to be followed by an own vehicle on the basis of vehicle information of the own vehicle and that of another vehicle shared on a network; a preceding-vehicle information detection part 18 for detecting vehicle information of a preceding vehicle of the own vehicle from the preceding vehicle in addition to the vehicle information shared on the network; and an identification part 21b for identifying the vehicle-to-be-followed on the basis of: the vehicle information of the candidate of a vehicle-to-be-followed selected by the candidate selection part 21a; and the vehicle information of the preceding vehicle detected by the preceding-vehicle information detection part 18.
