Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detection device configured inexpensively to suppress sensitivity deterioration caused by a bias magnetic field applied to an entire magnetoresistance effect element and generate an output with little hysteresis and Barkhausen noise, and to provide a magnetic field detection device having the same.SOLUTION: A current detection device of the present invention has conductors 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b arranged in respective directions along four side faces of a rectangular TMR element 1 and positioned to overlap with sidewalls of the TMR element 1 when viewed from above, thereby applying a bias magnetic field only to the sidewalls of the TMR element 1 to suppress deterioration of current detection sensitivity and improve detection accuracy. According to the present invention, the bias magnetic field can be applied using detection target current, which allows the above mentioned effects to be achieved without increasing the number of manufacturing steps.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
