To increase the accuracy of detecting the light receiving-emitting device.SOLUTION: In a light receiving-emitting device 100, a controller 30 acquires a first detection current from a light reception element 20 when a first driving current is supplied to a light emitting element 10 and acquires a second detection current from the light reception element 20 when a second driving current is supplied to the light emitting element 10. An operation unit 40 generates a signal showing a degradation in the light emitting element 10 when a reference value and an aging value as the rate of the first detection current and the second detection current satisfy a degradation determination condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
